Vacationing in San Antonio and found this Colombian restaurant by accident. Food was great and it was affordable.

We were excited to try this Colombian place in an old strip center. We arrived at 6:45 PM on a Friday and were literally the only customers in the restaurant the entire time. Plenty of tables, looks like it could be good for groups.
We waited a bit for a server to come out. No suggestions were made about the menu options.
Service was cursory at best.
After quite a wait, our entrees were brought out. Servings were large on platter-type plates. The Arroz Con Pollo plate had plenty of chicken mixed in with the rice, but was only mildly flavorful. And it came with a large helping of French fries - weird with a big rice dish.
The Bistec a la Criolla was tasty, but the meat was tough, hard to cut and chew. Accompanied by a large mound of white rice.
The large piece of flattened chicken was overcooked and dry on the Pechuga de Pollo a la Parrilla plate.
Plantains included on each plate were also overcooked, dry, flavorless. Each of us took one bite but couldn't eat the rest, which was so disappointing since we love plantains.
Each dish was around $14 - way too expensive for the quality and taste
We asked for salsa and it turned out to be the best part of the meal. Very spicy and full of flavor, it helped make each dish palatable.
Our server only came out once during the whole meal, and we had to ask for water refills.
We ordered flan for dessert, but were told they didn't have flan. No explanation given or other options offered, so we were done!
We had to get up and go to the back to get someone when we were ready to check out.
So the whole experience was a real disappointment. Mediocre food, poor service, uninteresting interior - no reason for us to return. -

Good food & friendly service. I wasn't completely blown away but I would definitely come back.
Started with empanadas which were Outstanding simple deep fried goodness; and Patacones con hogao were different...they were fried green plantain patties. Not a lot of flavor but pretty good.
I ordered the Arroz con pollo, it was decent but not much flavor. And my SO had the Pechuga de Pollo Empanizada Plate...again not bad just not great. Oddly the salad didn't have any type of dressing. I don't know if that is common in Columbia but was seemed a lil strange to me.
The service was excellent. Our waitress was really really friendly and helpful. -

Honestly, it's just disappointing. The Decor and overall layout of the restaurant looks terrible, it smelled funny, and the service lacked urgency. It took forever to get the food out. My mini tacos (which I know, I should not have gotten at a Columbian place) were actually better than my husbands Arroz Con Pollo. The plantains were hard and the rice and chicken mixture needed salt to be decent. The beans we had also were just gross...
The food took forever to come out and we almost left because we were on lunch break and had to leave. Being that there were three tables (including us) during the lunch rush, that's not a good sign. I have eaten here a few years ago and it is NOT the same place. Go to Tommy's next door. -

We wanted to try some genuine Colombian food here in San Antonio... so we chose this place. Ample parking, which was great. We get there and the place was a little run down but I kept an open mind about the food. We sat ourselves at a table, waited at least 10-15 minutes just for the waitress to bring us a menu. There was one waitress on the floor with just one helper who brought the food out. So we waited a while for the food, service and the check. The food was alright, my kids had the steak and it looks very unappetizing. I had the churrasco, which was ok. The salad had no dressing and when I asked for oil and vinegar, she kind of was like "what!". Anyways, food was ok, very mediocre and as if it was sitting a while. Rice was hard but steak was ok so I lived! Probably won't be going back.
